CIB 24/7 from 10 January until the end of the examination session

Please be aware that the library is extending its opening hours in the period leading up to the examination session. From 10 January until the end of the session on 15 February, the CIB will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The extended library hours will begin four weeks before the session, to meet the needs of UMED students and staff who are intensively preparing for their examinations.

The library is open 24/7 to UMED students and staff who have a valid student ID or staff card. During night hours (20.00 to 8.00), special organisational rules apply at the CIB:

  • Entry to the library after 20.00 is possible after scanning a valid student ID card or employee card in the reader at the side entrance to the CIB or after presenting the document to a security guard
  • During night hours, the library operates on a self-service basis

During this time, users will still have access to:

  • Ground floor – Circulation Desk, Book Locker, Book Drop, Chill out, Computer Room,
  • First floor – Reading room, Reading and study stations, Patio

Library staff are on duty:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 20:00
  • Saturdays, 8:00 to 14:00
