The modern Scopus AI research tool, designed for researchers, students, doctoral students, academic staff and lecturers, is now available at CIB. Scopus AI is an advanced analytical module based on generative artificial intelligence (GenAI), connected to Elsevier’s Scopus database (abstracts, citations, author profiles, verified sources). It allows users to enter queries in natural language and then generates summaries, concept maps and identifies key publications and researchers.
Scopus AI is widely used in many academic and scientific contexts:
- For literature reviews – quickly familiarise yourself with the topic and identify fundamental publications.
- When preparing diploma theses, seminars, and publications – this tool assists in identifying new research directions and gaps (‘white space’) in the literature.
- In teaching – lecturers can use them to prepare materials, identify the most important articles for students, and develop research courses.
- In scientific and research activities – identifying experts, mapping research areas, monitoring trends.
How to access it?
- Ensure that you are using a computer or workstation that has access to university resources, then go to: https://cib.umed.pl/en/databases-and-publishers/
- Open the Scopus database.
- In Scopus, click on the Scopus AI function (the icon is visible when searching for articles).
