We encourage you to test the databases of Wolters Kluwer publishing house. For the next month, you will be able to use:
Acland’s Video Atlas of Human Anatomy – a multimedia medical database that contains more than 320 videos realistically depicting the structure of the human body. Real human anatomical structures are shown in 3D. Each video is accompanied by explanations by Dr Robert Acland, a pioneer of plastic and reconstructive microsurgery.
Bates’s Visual Guide to Physical Examination – a guide for practising doctors and students who are preparing for examinations. The base includes 18 sections with videos demonstrating practical clinical skills including head-to-toe and system-focused examination techniques. It is an excellent complement to the print versions of the Bates guide.
Grant’s Dissection Video Collection – a collection of dissection videos with realistic footage providing anatomical detail. Arranged by body region, each video includes narration by Dr Alan Detton and on-screen labels showing students what is expected of them in the lab, the next required steps in each dissection, information for practical exams, among other things.
