CIB 24/7 from 24 May until the end of the exam period

Please note that the library is extending its opening hours in the run-up to the exam period. From 24 May until the end of the exam period on 5 July, the CIB will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The extended opening hours will come into effect four weeks before the exam period, with the aim of supporting UMED students and employees who are intensively preparing for their exams.

The library is open 24/7 to UMED students and employees who have a valid student ID or employee card with them. During night-time hours (20.00 – 8.00), special rules apply at the CIB:

  • Entry to the library after 20.00 is permitted upon scanning a valid student ID card or employees card at the reader by the side entrance to the CIB, or upon presenting your ID to a security guard
  • During night-time hours, the library operates on a self-service basis

In the meantime, users can still access:

  • Ground floor – Circulation desk, Book locker, Book drop, Chill-out area, Computer stations
  • First floor – Reading room, reading and study areas, Patio

Library staff are on duty:

  • Monday to Friday, 8.00 to 20.00
  • Saturdays, 8.00 to 14.00
